First Floor

It has begun!  They have started to construct the first floor of the house.  There is still a lot of lumber laying around, so they still have a lot of work to do!

Here is the view from the make-shift driveway.  This will be our garage at some point.

Walking around the right side of the house, you can see a square cut-out where our fireplace in the family room will be.  Also, you can see the additional morning room on the back.

As I walked around the back, I got a good look at the morning room.  Will have a nice vaulted ceiling and three large windows.

Here's a peek into the escape hatch from the basement.  Since it is not a walk-out basement, they have to put this window here.  There will eventually be a white tunnel-type thing here to crawl out of in case of an emergency.  I thought it was cool that you could see our steps down to the basement too.
